Cintas is On Board with Narcan Nasal Spray

Cintas, which offers opioid epidemic and naloxone training to healthcare professionals, has recently implemented the use of Narcan nasal spray — a lifesaving solution which Crystal Care Transitional Care has been advocating for since 2016.

Nasal spray is more accessible, faster, and easier to use than standard naloxone injection kits. As it requires no needles, it can be easily implemented by a loved one or bystander when overdose occurs. Unfortunately, outdated and prejudiced policies have held this medication back for years. 

Cintas now offers Narcan nasal spray through its training programs. The problem? While there are hundreds of Cintas centers in the US, Canada still has only a handful. 

Crystal Clear Transitional Care recently met with representatives of Cintas Canada to begin what we hope will be a longstanding and productive partnership. Our goal is to:

1. Continue spreading awareness of Narcan nasal spray as an effective and safe way to prevent overdose.
2. Improve access to Narcan nasal spray throughout Canada.
